DLA Piper has advised Gehrlicher Solar AG, one of the world’s leading photovoltaic companies, on a joint venture with environmental technology supplier Greenforce Enviro Pvt. Ltd in India. Located in the commercial hub of Mumbai, this gives Gehrlicher Solar AG a presence on the Asian continent for the first time.
DLA Piper advised the Government of India, acting through the Department of Disinvestment, and Coal India Limited on the company's initial public offering (IPO) of shares, which have been listed on the National Stock Exchange of India and the Bombay Stock Exchange.CIL is the world's largest coal miner. The IPO was the largest in the history of Indian capital markets and the sixth largest in the world during 2010.
