  • Oracle completed its acquisition of Sun Microsystems in a deal valued at more than $7 billion in January 2011, a move that transforms the database and business-software giant into a hardware company. Oracle also has plans in 2011 to sell its services business, Oracle Financial Services Software, and has lined up Cognizant Technology Solutions and Capgemini as potential buyers.
