    A four year relationship between UK's  telecom company Vodafone and (Essar unit) Vodafone Essar came to an end in July 2011, after the Vodafone giants bought out it's partners 33% stake at USD$ 5bn.

     

    July 2011

    It was recently reported that on July 31st 2011, Essar Energy will complete it's USd$3.5million aquisiton of the U.K's oil refinary Stanlow Oil.

     

    The refinery was reported as being for sale bythe Financial Times in August 2009.
